Jorge Lorenzo 'never gave up' on Qatar victory
Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo says he "never gave up" on winning the opening race of the 2012 MotoGP season in Qatar after fighting with Honda's Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner to take maximum points at the Losail Circuit.
Second-placed Pedrosa reveals he "had a great time" after rocketing from his seventh-place starting position to be second after the first corner, but admits Lorenzo was "smarter" with his overtaking manoeuvres at the end of the 22-lap race.
Reigning champion Stoner came home third and says he "couldn't grip" his Honda after suffering from 'arm-pump' - the tightening and spasm of muscles in his arm - whilst Tech 3's Cal Crutchlow says he hopes to "build on" his fourth place finish.
