Crutchlow crashes but qualifies fourth at Jerez

Cal Crutchlow discusses his dramatic qualifying session at Jerez where he had looked set for pole position before crashing in the damp conditions and recovering to set the fourth-fastest time on his spare bike.

The Tech 3 Yamaha rider tells BBC Sport's Matt Roberts his crash was "stupid" and reveals he "would prefer a dry race" after mixed weather conditions meant many riders found it tough to find a consistent rhythm.

Spain's Jorge Lorenzo will start in pole position for his home race after edging out compatriot Dani Pedrosa's Honda.
