British MotoGP: Cal Crutchlow crashes in practice at Silverstone
Britain's Cal Crutchlow could miss the British MotoGP for the second successive year after crashing heavily in final practice at Silverstone.
The Tech 3 Yamaha rider, who missed last year's race following a crash in qualifying in which he broke his collarbone, lost control of his bike at Chapel corner and landed awkwardly.
Crutchlow was initially diagnosed with a left-ankle sprain, but was taken to a local hospital after an increase in swelling, with Tech 3 team boss Herve Poncharal telling BBC Sport's Azi Farni he would take no part in qualifying as a result.
