Lorenzo wins Misano MotoGP as Pedrosa crashes

Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo extends his championship lead to 38 points with victory at the Misano MotoGP, as title rival Dani Pedrosa is taken out on the first lap by Pramac's Hector Barbera.

Pedrosa had qualified on pole for the race, but issues with his brakes before the start saw him begin the Grand Prix from the back of the grid, with the Honda rider fighting his way through the field before the accident.

Ducati's Valentino Rossi finished second in his home race, ahead of Gresini's Alvaro Bautista who grabbed the final podium spot in a photo-finish with Tech 3's Andrea Dovizioso.
