MotoGP: Casey Stoner grabs pole for Australian Grand Prix

Casey Stoner will start Sunday's Australian Grand Prix - his final home MotoGP race - in pole position despite crashing during qualifying.

The world champion, who will retire at the end of the season, limped away from his mid-session crash before getting back on the spare Repsol Honda to set the fastest time at Phillip Island.

Championship leader Jorge Lorenzo qualified second-quickest, with title rival Dani Pedrosa third on the grid and Britain's Cal Crutchlow fourth.
