Cross continue 'awesome heritage'

Crossmaglen overcome a few nervous moments to earn their third successive Ulster Club title as they beat Kilcoo at Armagh.

Early goals from Oisin McConville and Aaron Kernan put Cross in control and the All-Ireland champions led by 10 points just after half-time.

Kilcoo threatened to produce a remarkable comeback as they cut the Cross lead to only three points but substitute Kyle Brennan's late goal sealed a 3-9 to 1-9 win for the south Armagh club.

The victory was somewhat overshadowed by Aaron Cunningham's allegation that he was racially abused by two members of the Kilcoo squad during the game.
