Giants beaten by Panthers in shoot-out

Belfast Giants are edged out 3-2 by Nottingham Panthers after a shoot-out at the Odyssey Arena.

David Ling and Anthony Stewart netted in the first period of Friday night's Elite League match at the Odyssey Arena to put the visitors in control.

Craig Peacock scored in the second period and Gregory Stewart with 30 seconds left on the clock to equalise but the Panthers went on to win the shoot-out 3-1.
