Olympic swimming: Matt Grevers wins 100m backstoke gold

GB's Liam Tancock misses out on a medal in the men's 100m backstroke at London 2012, with USA's Matt Grevers taking gold and setting a new Olympic record time of 52.6 seconds.

Grevers' US team-mate Nick Thoman was second with Japan's Ryosuke Irie third.

Tancock finished third fastest in the semi-finals, but could only finish in fifth place, and afterwards vowed to improve for the next Olympics in Brazil in 2016.
