Olympic swimming: Shock gold for Ruta Meilutyte

Teenager Ruta Meilutyte wins Lithuania's first ever Olympic gold in the swimming pool with victory in the 100m breaststroke at London 2012.

The 15-year-old, who goes to the same Plymouth school as Tom Daley, finished 0.08 seconds ahead of American Rebecca Soni, who took silver, with Japan's Satomi Suzuki earning bronze.

There was confusion before the race when the bleep went before the swimmers were told to take their marks, causing a false start, but afterwards Meilutyte was so surprised by her win she could barely speak.
