Jessica Ennis starts well in Olympic heptathlon long jump

British athlete Jessica Ennis makes a strong start on day two of the Olympic heptathlon after the long jump session.

After leading the standings on day one, she posts a final jump of 6.48m to strengthen her position at the top of the leaderboard.

After five of seven events in the heptathlon she has 5,159 points, ahead of Lithuania's Austra Skujte on 4,901 and world champion Tatyana Chernova on 4,869.
