Ricky Ponting reflects on cricket career after retiring

Ricky Ponting has "no regrets" about deciding to retire from cricket at the age of 37 following a glittering career.

An emotional Ponting, the second highest run scorer in Test history behind Sachin Tendulkar, says he hopes to have made a lasting legacy on Australian cricket and thanks his family, fans and team-mates for their support during a "special" week.

Ponting scored just eight runs in his final innings against world number one team South Africa, taking his career total to 13,378 from 168 Test matches.
