Tyrone GAA set to open new £7m headquarters at Garvaghey

Tyrone's new £7m GAA facility at Garvaghey will be officially opened this weekend.

The 43-acre site has five high quality grass pitches, a full-sized 3G surface, a multi-purpose training area, an auditorium, fully-equipped gyms, physio and meeting rooms, administrative areas, catering facilities and a purpose-built changing room area with ice baths.

Tyrone GAA chairman Ciaran McLaughlin says that the facility will be made available to other sports and groups.

Around £1.5m of government money was provided for the £7m project with Tyrone GAA coming up with £3m from their own fund-raising efforts.
