Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) executive director of rugby Nigel Walker hopes a home region can reach one of the European finals in Cardiff in 2025.

The Welsh capital will host the 2025 Investec Champions Cup and Challenge Cup finals for the first time in 11 years.

Only Ospreys have qualified for the knockout stages of a European tournament in the 2023-24 season with Cardiff, Scarlets and Dragons eliminated at the group stages.
