Josef Craig crowned BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year

Swimmer Josef Craig is named young Sports Personality of the Year after becoming the youngest Paralympic gold medallist at London 2012.

Craig, who has mild cerebral palsy, won the S7 400m freestyle final in a new world record, knocking nearly two seconds off the previous best.

The 15-year-old beat off competition from fellow Paralympic swimmer Jessica-Jane Applegate and Olympic gymnast Rebecca Tunney to win an award that stars such as Wayne Rooney, Andy Murray, Ellie Simmonds and Tom Daley have previously won.
