Murray 'made right decision' to pull out of ATP finals

Andy Murray says he needed "more time to rest and recover" and "wasn't able to compete properly" after aggravating a groin injury during his straight-sets loss to David Ferrer, external and pulling out of the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

The world number three reveals he agonised over the decision and was aware of letting "a lot of people down" but concluded playing on with an injury "was never going to be the right thing to do" with only seven weeks until the start of the Australian Open.
