ATP Tour Finals 2013: Rafael Nadal beats Stanislas Wawrinka

Spain's Rafael Nadal beats Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka 7-6 7-6 at the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Nadal was taken to a tie-break in both sets by a spirited Wawrinka - who has still to win a set in any of their 12 matches - but victory books the Spaniard's semi-final spot.

The win ensures that Nadal will end 2013 as the world number one, despite only returning from injury in February.
