Australian Open 2014: Andy Murray relieved to win in 'tough' conditions

Britain's Andy Murray cruises into round two at the 2014 Australian Open with a straight-sets win over Japan's Go Soeda, but admits playing in Melbourne's heatwave heat was "tough".

The Wimbledon champion needed only 87 minutes to secure a place in round two with a 6-1 6-1 6-3 victory, as the temperature on court exceeded 42C.

Despite the conditions Murray says he is "very happy" with his performance in only his third competitive match since returning from back surgery.
