The Scot experienced an eventful year following his 2013 success, undergoing back surgery in September but recovering to reach the semi-finals of the French Open in early June.

Murray has been seeded third in this year's championships, meaning he would only meet Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer in the last four of the tournament.
