World Superseries Finals: Chris and Gabby Adcock lose again

The Adcocks are sixth in the world mixed-doubles rankings

Chris and Gabby Adcock could still reach the semi-finals at the World Superseries Finals despite losing their second successive group game.

The English pair were beaten 21-14 21-17 by China's world number one pairing Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei on Thursday.

That followed a hard-fought defeat by Koreans Kim Ha-na and Ko Sung-hyun.

The Adcocks must beat German pair Michael Fuchs and Birgit Michels on Friday if they are to have a chance of reaching the semi-finals.

Should they win in straight games, and Zhang and Zhao beat Kim and Ko, the English pair will advance.

Victory in three games would mean a potential countback of points won and lost.
