Great Britain's women concluded their preparations for the EuroBasket with a narrow 56-54 defeat by Latvia in Sodertalje, Sweden on Sunday.

Britain led for long periods against the Latvians thanks to 18 points from Chantelle Handy and 17 from Kim Butler.

But Ieva Krastina sank a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give Latvia the win.

GB coach Damian Jennings said: "We've seen some growth over this whole tournament and it highlighted things to work on at both ends of the floor."

The two teams will face each other again in Group C of the EuroBasket, which begins in France on 15 June.

Jennings added: "I think we both sized each other up very well in this game and it showed some of the areas we've got to stay away from in our basketball."
