Top Scots through in Perth bowls

Scotland's top names progressed to the next round at the Scottish International Open.
World number two Paul Foster defeated compatriot Willie Wood, the veteran former world champion, 10-3, 7-3.
And former world number ones Alex Marshall and David Gourlay also progressed, respectively defeating Hong Kon's Kenneth Wong 17-1, 13-1 and Welshman Damian Doubler 9-5, 6-7, 2-1.
Darren Burnett defeated England's Billy Jackson 9-2, 8-8.
And Jonathan Ross ousted South African Dylan Stafford 14-0, 10-1 at the BBC Scotland televised event from Dewars Centre in Perth.
However, Ronnie Duncan lost out to Scots-born Englishman Andy Thomson 4-10, 10-5, 2-1.
