Stewart Anderson defended his WBT Scottish International Open title by defeating world champion Jamie Walker in straight sets in Livingston.

The Scot swept to a comfortable 12-6 6-3 win to earn his third title from this competition.

Anderson earlier beat compatriot Darren Burnett 7-6 9-7 to reach the final, while Walker came from behind to beat Jason Banks 7-8 6-3 2-0.

"I knew I had to be at my very best to compete with him," Anderson said.

"I'd like to thank the crowd, club, everyone for attending, thank you. I didn't even know if I'd be here because I lost my grandad on Tuesday."

Anderson had to battle hard to gain the ascendency in a tight first set, but once he pulled clear, Walker was unable to replicate his semi-final turnaround.
