    Dubois v Camara

Camara is trying to hide behind her guard but Dubois is too fast, too slick and too smart.

Dubois attacks the body and then comes over the top. I can't see this going long.

Camara has a huge cut above her left eye and her right is heavily swollen - it looks like she has already done 10 rounds.

Camara's nose is also looking bloodied up.

  2. Round onepublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Dubois v Camara

It was a straight left that sent Camara down.

Dubois has a strong record for ending fights early - five of her 10 bouts to date have finished in that fashion - can she make it six?

Camara is offering little as Dubois goes after the Canadian with more good combination work.

    Very comfortable.

I think it was a flash knockdown, not a flush shot that landed. But it was enough to put her down.

Dubois is the more active from the outset, stabbing at the body and head of Camara with her jab.

Both looked focused but that's to be expected as we hear their records from the ring announcer.

Caroline Dubois worked her way into a position to be elevated to a world champion when Katie Taylor vacated. She insists she is a bona fide champion. Yet there is something rather unsatisfying, for both the fighter and fans, about a world title not being won on the night, inside a ring.

Tonight, Dubois has a chance to show there are levels to this game with a dominant win over Camara. She will want to put on a show and prove her credentials. Speaking to her earlier in the week, she regards anything less than a stoppage win as a bit of a disappointment.

Over to Caroline Dubois who walks as the WBC lightweight world champion for the first time.

A much more understated outfit Dubois - a black hooded top and her black fight shorts - but a very funky remix of Whitney Houston's 'I'm Every Woman' is going down a treat.

Method of victory percentage comparison between Beatriz Ferreira, Terri Harper and Caroline Dubois

The lightweight division is bubbling along very nicely as we take our first steps into 2025.

Caroline Dubois holds the WBC title, Beatriz Ferreira is the IBF champion, Terri Harper has the WBO belt and the WBA strap is vacant.

Harper claimed her title in September with a unanimous decision win against Rhiannon Dixon, while Ferreira has held her belt since April 2024 and made her first defence last month.

Victory for Dubois tonight puts her in prime position to face either of those two champions in a unification bout.

Caroline Dubois won gold at the 2018 Youth Olympics and achieved her dream of securing a place to represent Team GB at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Hear from the woman herself about that journey through the amateurs with some lovely animation too.

A world-title fight at 20:30ish GMT? I'm here for this. As is the fella who I just overheard telling his pal: "I reckon we can get to the boozer by 10".

  16. 'Three-weight champion & retire by 30'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Dubois v Camara

Caroline Dubois turns 24 today and just 10 fights into her professional career already has a world title but she has her sights set on further success.

"I want to be undisputed in three weight divisions and then retire, call it a day - all before 30. That would be sick," Dubois said.

"I mean being a world champion is what everyone wants to be when they turn professional and I ticked that list.

"I ticked that off so quickly and like so much stress about, you know, my career has just started. There's going to be bigger nights, bigger fights. Definitely harder nights and hard fights and undisputed is the goal for me now."

Those bigger nights that Dubois mentions are could involve the likes of WBO welterweight champion Mikaela Mayer and undisputed super-feather champion Alycia Baumgardner.

The more immediate task, however, is to unify the division in 2025 by claiming the vacant WBA title and beating IBF champion Beatriz Ferreira and WBO belt-holder Terri Harper.

We've had a couple of swift finishes in the last two fights so we are well on track to see WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois make her ringwalk at around 21:00 GMT... or maybe even slightly earlier.

Not long for you to cast your vote at the top of this page for who you think wins the fight.

It's looking like a landslide to be honest.

  18. How do Dubois and Taylor compare?published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Dubois v Camara

Comparison of Katie Taylor and Caroline Dubois' careers after 10 fights

Talk of a meeting between Caroline Dubois and Katie Taylor may be a little redundant at this stage with the latter not fighting at lightweight since 2022, but that's not going to stop us making comparisons between their careers after 10 fights.

Taylor came to the professional ranks much later than Dubois but that additional amateur experience stood her in good stead as she had picked up two world titles by the time she had 10 bouts in the bag.

  19. 'Going to make my own legacy'published at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Dubois v Camara

Caroline Dubois believes she belongs at the top and has not shied away from calling out the biggest names in the sport.

In June 2023, as she was preparing to fight Yanina del Carmen Lescano in her seventh professional bout, Dubois set her sights on facing Mikaela Mayer and Alycia Baumgardner before the end that year.

Mayer and Baumgardner are still a little way down the line, with Dubois' career being carefully managed, but an 11th successive win tonight keeps that duo within touching distance.

Dubois, however, seems to have made peace with the fact that she won't be stepping into a ring with undisputed light-welterweight champion Katie Taylor.

“Having the right partner, being able to put on a big fight with a good viewership tuning in and big occasion is always great, but I genuinely don't feel like I need Katie Taylor," Dubois said.

"That's not me trying to be disrespectful or anything, it's just I would still be happy if our careers never crossed. It doesn't really matter to me because I feel like I'm going to make my own legacy.

"I'm in a really lucky division where there's so many of challenges you know, you've got [Alycia] Baumgardner, [Beatriz] Ferreira, Terri Harper, then I can move up to 140 and you've got Chantelle Cameron and you've got Sandy Ryan, Mikaela Mayer. You can move up to 147 and there's other fights for me.

  20. 'I want to test myself'published at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Dubois v Camara

Boxing has been a lifelong pursuit for Caroline Dubois and as she turns 24, all that hard work is now coming to fruition as she prepares to make the first defence of her WBC lightweight world title.

BBC Sport spoke to Dubois back in 2018 when she was seen as a promising 17-year-old amateur.
