Riakporhe has been given what looks like a final warning before a point is deducted for use of his head.
The challenger shrugs that off and goes on the attack, landing a right hand.
You wouldn't know it though as Billam-Smith comes back with a combination of his own.
Billam-Smith has swelling under both eyes, he's carrying more damage but looks to be on track to retain his title.

Riakporhe leans on the ropes and draws Billam-Smith on before looking to counter up the middle. It's not a clean shot though.
Referee Steve Gray feels the need to have a word with both fighters, I'm not sure what that was about. Possibly for holding?
"You're wrestling, you're wrestling" is the message from the referee in the final seconds to both fights.
I guess that answers the earlier question.

Riakporhe starts the round with intent and is throwing heavy shots. He's down by seven rounds by my eye and needs a stoppage to take the title.
He's hunting for that stoppage too as he finds a home with a right and forces Billam-Smith into the corner. Riakporhe continues to throw big shots but they aren't landing cleanly.
This time he does catch Billam-Smith who leans back on the ropes to avoid further damage.
No doubt that is the best round of the night for Riakporhe.

Riakporhe might be the challenger but he has home advantage tonight at Selhurst Park and he needs those fans to get behind him.
Billam-Smith evades a right hook in the corner and returns down the middle.
There's not a lot in most of these rounds but Billam-Smith keeps doing just enough.
