IBF heavyweight title-holder Dubois has said on several occasions that Saturday offers the opportunity to legitimise his position as champion.

The 27-year-old will be introduced as the IBF champion at Wembley but his route to the belt, as is so often the case in boxing, has been a little complicated.

Back on 19 May, Oleksandr Usyk became boxing's first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion after beating Tyson Fury to add the WBC title to his WBA, WBO and IBF collection.

On 2 June, Dubois beat Filip Hrgovic via an eighth-round stoppage to become the interim IBF heavyweight champion.

Just 23 days later, Dubois was elevated to IBF champion after Usyk was forced to vacate his belt when he opted to face Fury in a rematch - scheduled for 21 December - rather than agreeing a bout with Dubois.

That meant Dubois was handed the belt without taking it from a champion, leading some to question the legitimacy of his standing.

Dubois, who was stopped by Usyk in the ninth round when they met in August 2023, has vowed to silence those critics by beating Joshua on Saturday.

We’ve had a grand arrivals in the form of a Hollywood movie premiere at a Leicester Square cinema, a media workout which transformed Wembley Arena into Buckingham Palace and a news conference in a historic medieval building.

As if this week wasn’t glamorous enough already - in what is the latest example of Saudi Arabia’s growing influence on the sport - today’s weigh-in is taking place in the heart of London in Trafalgar Square.

At least the weather is glorious. That was a bold move holding an outdoor event in September.

Boxing expert Steve Bunce has been providing build-up to Saturday's main event throughout the week, interviewing fighters, promoters and speaking with pundits to try and predict how the all-British title fight might unfold.

In episode one, which landed on Tuesday, Bunce and former world champion Barry Jones looked at the contrasting career paths of Dubois and Joshua.

Looks like it's starting to fill up nicely on Trafalgar Square, Kal.

We are expecting to see the fighters start hitting the scales at 18:00 BST, starting with the undercard and moving through to the main event.

Who knows what time we'll see Dubois and Joshua but I'd guestimate around 19:00 - don't hold me to that!

We had some technical difficulties with our video stream of last night's news conference but are expecting to have a feed, which will be available at the top of this page, to bring you tonight's weigh-in.

For the first time this week, there is a strong fan turnout and this fight week is truly giving me big event vibes. There is an electric atmosphere.

I’m trying to enjoy while also handling my anxiety about the pigeons flying above me and what little present they might leave me.

  7. What happened at Thursday's news conference?published at 17:35 British Summer Time 20 September

Joshua and Dubois have crossed paths plenty of times this week already. The news conference on Thursday was largely uneventful, aside from a slight flashpoint when Dubois interrupted Joshua.

Joshua bit back, saying: "As I was saying. You should never let anyone take an inch because they'll end up taking a mile. You know what I mean, Daniel?"

What do we think? Was Dubois trying to rile Joshua, was Joshua trying to play the big brother card or was it a genuine accidental interruption from Dubois?

For now, we have to make do with watching them weigh in and a final face-off in Trafalgar Square.

We should also hear some final words from the two protagonists.
