Summary

  1. Round eightpublished at 23:06 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Jonas v Price

Jonas is hugely experienced and she'll know she's behind in this fight. Can she do anything about it though?

Jonas looks to throw her left hook but isn't committing her body into it and it's not troubling Price as she continues to pick her off.

  4. Round sevenpublished at 23:02 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Jonas v Price

It's nothing particularly fancy from Price but it's hugely effective. She's landing at will with her southpaw jab while having quick enough feet to stop any Jonas attacks. Very clever boxing. Jonas can't get near her so far.

  5. Round sixpublished at 23:00 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Jonas v Price

More stiff jabs from Price land on the head of Jonas and the Welshwoman then gets herself out of any danger with the speed of her feet.

It's hard to really pinpoint what Jonas is doing wrong at the moment because Price is putting on a clinic. Is she just too good?

For the first time in the fight, I'm starting to see a really interesting fight in about round seven or eight, assuming Natasha can keep pushing Lauren back.

    Jonas v Price

More sharp jabs from Price as she looks to snap the head of Jonas back.

Jonas is creeping in slowly and looking to land heavy when close enough. A better round from Jonas as she lets her hands go more.

  9. Round fourpublished at 22:53 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Jonas v Price

Jonas is looking slower than Price in the opening four rounds here as she struggles to land clean. Price is boxing well bobbing and weaving while looking for an opening. Really difficult for Jonas to trouble Price as she misses with a wild left.

    Jonas v Price

Price is bouncing on her feet and looking to land quick jabs but Jonas catches her on her way in.

Jonas got caught with that right hook, it wasn't necessarily the power, it was the fact that the punch got through. She had no idea the punch could get there. Speed is winning this fight.

    Jonas v Price

Price looks very sharp as she looks to land some stiff jabs, but Jonas fires back with a right hook of her own. Jonas steps in and looks for that overhand left but Price is too sharp on her feet and takes a quick step back to evade it.

The right from Price lands on the side of Jonas' head and it makes her stagger. Good round for Price.

Price looks sharp and comfortable. Jonas normally has good distance control and that doesn't seem to be the same tonight. Price is picking the sharp counters and it caught her attention.

Natasha Jonas paved the way for future generations at a time when the popularity of women's boxing – and the funding it received – was nowhere near today's level.

In 2012, Jonas became the first British woman to box at an Olympic Games. Thirteen years later, here she is, a main event star. Jonas has juggled motherhood, faced the trials and tribulations of amateur and pro ranks and overcome a number of injuries.

Jonas is enjoying a real golden period in the twilight of her career and, although says she isn't bothered, a suggestion this could a passing of the torch has got her back up a little.
