Fury tends to show up for the big occasion and it doesn't get much bigger than this. Fury by stoppage in eight.

    Usyk v Fury

Fury's trainer SugarHill Steward was asking Fury for "more body shots" in the corner in between rounds.

Bridging the gap and getting into range was expected to be an issue for the smaller Usyk but he's finding some good angles to get inside regularly.

We haven't seen much of Fury trying to put his weight on Usyk yet.

Fury doesn't want to overcommit, you could see the turn of the head when throwing the punch.

The games don't work against Usyk.

    Usyk v Fury

Usyk must be growing in confidence from these opening two rounds. He's using a good variety of shots to body and head.

Fury comes back with a bruising shot to the body of Usyk. I heard and felt that one here in Salford.

There have been questions over Usyk's ability to take shots to the body this week. He seems OK for now.

    Usyk v Fury

Usyk starts on the front foot and lands with another left over the top. Fury acts like he didn't feel it but that surely hurt.

Some nice shots to the body now from Usyk.

Usyk lands another to the body but Fury counters well to fight his way out of the corner.

Some more showboating from Fury as he puts his hands behind his back briefly.

Oh they absolutely loved that in here. Tyson playing up to the crowd and they are lapping it up.

Usyk managing to land some blows though and the ‘Usyk’ chants are flowing.

Usyk dares you to throw that right hand so he can just counter off it.

"Usyk, Usyk, Usyk" is the chant that rings out around the arena.

Usyk backs Fury into the corner and the Brit puts both hands on the ropes moves from side to side and starts laughing. Usyk steps back and they return to the centre.

Usyk throws a left over the top and makes contact but again Fury laughs it off.

Two men have entered... now one man must leave with all the gold, stand above all, and stand alone in the heavyweight ladder. Let's do this.

    Usyk v Fury

Both men meet in the centre and the size difference is the first thing you notice.

Tyson throws out a few testing jabs with his lead left hand but Usyk is light on his feet and stays out of trouble.

The amount of feinting from both is already dizzying.

The national anthems are over and now it's time for ring announcer Michael Buffer to do his part in hyping up this undisputed heavyweight contest.

Bufffer takes us through the cordialities and then it's on to the records of the two respective fighters.

"It's undefeated against undefeated," Buffer says. "Someone's 0 has to go."

No more games. No more trash talk and social media call outs.

After almost twenty five years of hurt, we will (barring a draw) see one man stand tall as the heavyweight champion of the world.
