Let's see how Dixon copes with this because this is a different mental challenge now to the ones she has faced before. Not just tactically but mentally, this is a tough place to be.

Dixon has to get close and let her hands go. What can happen with these quick rounds is you can be three or four rounds down and not feel like you're losing. She's got to let her hands go now.

This is the best I've seen Harper look for quite some time as she controls the middle of the ring with a fine display of counter-punching.

Harper is fighting a smart fight controlling that middle. When she's in close she's gripping and holding on.

It’s really tight and there’s a lot of nervous energy. I don’t think either has massively claimed this first round.

It's small and intimate but there's something quite heartwarming about this arena.

I walked through the deserted Sheffield Olympic legacy park grounds until I stumbled across a small group of Matchroom security folk who I recognised. I waited in a reception which isn't too dissimilar to my local council-run leisure centre before I was taken to my seat.

I'd say it's a 20 yard walk from the fighters' entrance to the ring. We have three small seated areas on the ground and two stands which go about 15 or so rows back.

No need for screens; nobody here has a bad view.

  20. Last roll of the dice for Harperpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 28 September

Is this make or break for Terri Harper? She describes tonight's fight as the "last roll of the dice" but didn't go as far as to say whether she'd retire with a loss. I know, talk of retirement at 27 is madness!

But, Harper has not won since May 2023 and has since admitted she "lost the love for the sport" after her damaging loss to Sandy Ryan.

Whatever happens tonight, Harper has had a superb career in women's boxing.
