I met Dale Winton when I was a contestant on Supermarket Sweep.

    True story.

    I don't think a day goes by when I don't mention it.

When I was 12 (in 1978), the wrestler Giant Haystacks appeared in a bout at Batley Sports Centre. We saw him in the corridor and he growled at me and my little brother. Still makes me shiver.

  3. Rock n Roll Star to light up Wembleypublished at 20:56 British Summer Time

Ahead of his performance tonight, Liam Gallagher posted on X: "SETLIST for the boxing ROCK N ROLL STAR SUPERSONIC CIGS n ALCOHOL tune in or get tuned in LG x."

    Happy with that, Oasis fans?

  4. Liam Gallagher x all-British world title fightpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time

The announcement that Oasis were reuniting after splitting up in 2009 sent shockwaves around the country and there was a huge clamour for one of those golden tickets.

If you weren't able to get any (like me) then we're being treated to three songs from Liam Gallagher before Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois walk to the ring.

Gallagher is due on stage shortly.

An all-British heavyweight world title fight beats an Oasis concert for me!

  5. Joshua yet to arrive?published at 20:51 British Summer Time

Our spies within Wembley Stadium were just telling us Anthony Joshua was actually yet to arrive at Wembley.

Daniel Dubois rocked up an hour ago, looking calm.

But who doesn't love a bit of drama before the main event? Runaway Joshua?

Well sorry, no luck. Joshua has just arrived!

I'll get the ball rolling with my random celebrity encounters.

When I was about eight or nine, I bumped into Olympic gold medallist Linford Christie on a beach in Blackpool - he was there to film an episode of Record Breakers if memory serves.

I was so desperate to get his autograph - this was before the days of smartphones so a picture was out of the question - but was not prepared for that situation and all I had was a deck of Pokemon cards in my pocket.

Christie was more than happy to and quite clearly more prepared than me as he pulled a pen out of his pocket and put his signature on Diglett card.

I can't remember what happened to that card but there's every chance I traded it away when I was back at school.

Kal is never short of a good story of two.

His encounter with Jonny Nelson earlier this week has got me thinking about random encounters with celebrities when you're just going about your day-to-day business.

  8. 'We’ll eat the smallest guy first'published at 20:48 British Summer Time

    Kal Sajad
    BBC Sport at Wembley Stadium

I nearly didn’t make it tonight.

On Wednesday, I was joined in the hotel lift by former cruiserweight world champion and pundit Johnny Nelson and two hench members of security for tonight’s fight.

"This is one heavy lift, if we get stuck in here we’ll eat the smallest guy first," Johnny said as he pointed to me.

    Cue the nervous laughter.

  9. Man of his wordpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time

Eddie Hearn, a Tottenham fan, has seized the opportunity of being at Wembley to do his part after losing a bet with Arsenal supporter Roman Kemp.

The loser from last weekend's North London derby would have to wear the shirt of the opposing team.

Hearn shook on that and, therefore, after Arsenal won 1-0, it was over to Hearn to do his part.

  10. 'I delivered' - Sheerazpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time

    Sheeraz beats Denny by stoppage

Hamzah Sheeraz speaking to DAZN after stopping Tyler Denny: "I feel great, just a massive thank you to everyone who's come to support me today."

On potential banana skin: "I always leave it down to my team, they know what they're doing so this wasn't a banana skin for me. I delivered."

On world title fight: "I'm tired of calling for world title fights now. His Excellency is the man to make the fights now and whoever he puts in the ring with me, I'm ready for it."

On crowd support: "It means everything and more. A huge, huge thank you to everyone who came out today. We've got a great main event coming."

  12. 'They want knockouts'published at 20:39 British Summer Time

    Sheeraz beats Denny by stoppage

    Shane McGuigan
Boxing coach on BBC Radio 5 Live

That's what we're talking about, we want to see knockouts. These casual fans here don't really understand rankings, they want knockouts.

  13. Postpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time

    Sheeraz beats Denny by stoppage

    Sheeraz is all class.

He's only 25 and it's going to be interesting to see just how far he can go.

Technically magnificent and doesn't leave anything to chance. Sheeraz is the model professional in and out of the ring.

Sheeraz moves to 21-0 with 17 of those victories coming inside the distance and takes the European middleweight title with him tonight.

  14. Postpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time

Tyler Denny was looking at his corner as if to say 'pull me out'. Correct decision from the referee.

The Hamzah Sheeraz hype train continues. World title shot next year?

    And it's waved off.

Denny got up and wanted to continue but the writing was on the wall after 10 seconds and the referee is right to call a halt to this.

Any further action wasn't going to benefit either fighter.

The promotion of this event throughout fight week has been on another level. We've had promo staff with electronic billboards on their backs and vans plastered with the heavyweights' faces whizzing through London.

Here's Kendrick, oops I mean Terence Crawford!

The four-weight world champion was at UFC 306 last weekend and a graphic appeared on TV screens with mistakenly him named as Kendrick Lamar.

  19. Is there a masterplan for an early Oasis reunion?published at 20:32 British Summer Time

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport journalist at Wembley Stadium

I don't claim to be a humongous fan, but I was in this very stadium around 15 years ago watching Oasis - who announced their comeback tour for next year.

Liam Gallagher will be performing tonight and there were some whispers a couple of weeks ago that Saudi organisers wanted his brother, Noel, to join him for an early reunion.

I asked Frank Warren about this last week and he said the question will definitely be asked, but it is unlikely.

I mean, if it does happen, the internet might just break.

  20. Round onepublished at 20:32 British Summer Time

    Sheeraz v Denny

Someone tell Liam Gallagher to start those vocal warm-ups.

On the basis of that opening round, this one doesn't look like it will go long.

After putting Denny on the canvas in the opening ten seconds, Sheeraz enjoyed further success in the corner.
