    Itauma v McKean

Teenage heavyweight Moses Itauma has tipped the scales at 17st 11lb. He fights Demsey McKean on Saturday.

Barry Jones has just said on DAZN broadcast he is surprised with how heavy he is.

"That is pretty heavy from Itauma, especially for someone who relies on his speed. This is a massive test for him," Jones said.

Will the weight affect him? Itauma says he's got "more weight on his punches" with the extra pounds.

In my view, no matter how Fury approaches this bout, the end result will be the same. Usyk is technically superior and will stop Fury in the later rounds.

Oleksandr Usyk looked huge when he sat down with BBC Sport on Monday. He's talked about potentially moving back down to cruiserweight in the future.

For all he has achieved in the sport, it would be quite the remarkable feat if he were to go back to cutting weight and making the 14st 4lb limit and become a cruiserweight world champion again.

  7. Usyk set for heaviest weight?published at 19:07 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December

Oleksandr Usyk left the cruiserweight division behind in 2018 following a knockout victory against Tony Bellew.

The Ukrainian has spent the past six years transforming into a heavyweight and has continued to enjoy great success.

Usyk tipped the scales at 14st 2lb for that bout with Bellew and re-emerged for his heavyweight debut against Chazz Witherspoon 11 months later at 15st 3lb.

He has steadily bulked over his six fights at heavyweight and appeared to have settled on a weight of 15st 11lb where he felt his skills could still be best maximised.

However, Usyk ripped up the script for his bout with Fury in May and stepped on to the scales at a career-heavy 16st 6lb.

With Fury likely to be heavier than when they first shared a ring, will Usyk also add some extra pounds?

Why does the beard matter? Will it soak up punches and dampen their effects? No. The Usyk team are trying to unsettle Fury further and vice versa with Fury's childish taunts yesterday. Keep the beard. At 19st+ he's in bother unless he gets an early KO.

  10. Dubois targeting undisputed crownpublished at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December

    Usyk v Fury 2

Daniel Dubois has big plans for 2025.

The IBF heavyweight champion knows that victory over New Zealand's Joseph Parker in February will put him in prime position to face either Oleksandr Usyk or Tyson Fury in an undisputed contest.

Dubois insists he would be happy to face either but would prefer to go up against Usyk, who he lost to in 2023.

"I'd be happy [to fight Fury] but I'd love to fight Usyk after what happened in Poland and the history behind it. I'd love to get that back and do a rematch," Dubois said.

"I don't think he would say no to business. Money talks in boxing and it would be a huge fight to get that back, to right that wrong."

Isaac Lowe and Lee McGregor just had a fairly fiery face-off. Lowe is a constant figure in Tyson Fury's camp and is known to welcome a bit of verbal fireworks.

Security eventually separated the featherweights to calm things down.

  14. 'I do not think about legacy'published at 18:50 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December

    Usyk v Fury 2

WBA (Super), WBC and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is rightly regarded as one of the best boxers of this generation, however, like most of us he battles with motivation at times.

"My phone alarm is like 'Hey, Oleksandr, wake up, it's time for training at five o'clock in the morning'," Usyk tells BBC Sport.

But aged 37, Usyk might not have too many years left in the ring or at the top level and the Ukrainian is doing all he can to make the most of his chance.

"God gave me the opportunity but God told me 'you must work, you must not rest'," Usyk said.

"For me, I do not think about legacy. For me, it's important, it's my chance again to say 'listen, if you work, it's possible'."

  17. Predictions - 'Usyk seems to have this momentum'published at 18:44 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December

    Usyk v Fury 2

Light-welterweight Jack Catterall: "We’ve seen a lot of good early rounds from Fury, so it’ll be interesting to see if he has made adjustments and whether they can be enough against Usyk who can adapt to anything. As a British fighter I want Fury to win, but my head says it won’t be enough against a fighter like Usyk."

American fighter Regis Prograis: "I picked Fury the first time, I’ll pick Fury again. Usyk is a beast, you can put him up there as one of the best ever, he’s hot, he has beaten everyone – AJ twice, Fury, Danny Dubois. But I have got to go with the big man.”

Former world champion Sunny Edwards: "The first fight was competitive but I think Usyk won conclusively enough. At any time it is very hard to pick against Usyk, even if you are as big and as good as Fury. Usyk gets in the ring and is on a different rhythm, he's on a different engine. Usyk just seems to have this momentum and he's always making his opponent work a lot harder. I think I have to go with Usyk but you can't write Fury off, when you write Fury off that's when he does something he isn't supposed to."

Even though he won, the first fight took a lot more out of Usyk than it did Fury. Fury was having a lot of success in the early stages, especially with that uppercut. I wouldn't be surprised if he stops Usyk this time. Usyk has to perform even better this time to win again. If he is victorious, he'll be without doubt the greatest heavyweight of this generation and the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

I fancy Fury, but he suffers from the same problem Joshua has, implementing his uppercut against the shorter opponent.
