It's no secret that Amanda Serrano wanted 12 three minute rounds for the trilogy but Katie Taylor was having none of it.

"I won the second fight," Taylor said. "I think it would have been a lot different if she was the champion. She's not in a position to dictate the terms of a fight. I'm the champion and she's not."

This could be the best fight so far. With the style and Katie's age, and how Amanda performed in the last fight, I just think that Amanda comes through and wins mid-fight, towards the end. I think she comes on stronger and she gets the decision with the bigger shots and the workrate.

After an extremely quiet opening round, the fight has has gradually opened up in the following two - but there still hasn't been a lot for the New York crowd to get excited about.

It feels more like a chess match than a boxing fight at the moment.

Despite the limit for light-welterweight being 19st, the fight will be contested at a 9st 10lbs limit - as agreed by both camps.

Katie Taylor weighed in first on Thursday and hit the scales at .2lb under the limit.

Amanda Serrano was delayed in hitting the scales, prompting Taylor to leave with trainer Ross Enamait staying behind.

Serrano eventually hit the 9st 10lbs mark exactly.

Speaking of the weigh-in, the best part was seeing Amanda Serrano slowly lifted into the air by a platform.

Katie Taylor did not get the uplift treatment when she weighed in moments before... wonder why?

Who will have the final say in this all-timer rivalry?

"It's not just history, but this is taking place in the big Garden and that says it all," said BBC 5 Live's Steve Bunce.

"I assume this will be their final fight - where they had their first great fight.

"I fancied Katie in that one, fancied Katie in their second one and I still fancy Katie for this one.

"There's just a horrible risk of some sentimentality creeping in for this as it's a tight fight again, but who knows?"

The WBC, WBO, IBF and WBA super-featherweight titles will be on the line as Alycia Baumgardner takes on Jennifer Miranda.
