Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee and his brother Jonathan will head the England triathlon team for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

They are joined by former national champion Aaron Harris.

World Championship silver medallist Jodie Stimpson, Vicky Holland and Lucy Hall will race in the women's event.

The individual events are on 24 July before two men and two women compete in the mixed relay two days later at Strathclyde Country Park.

"To win a medal at a home Games is something every athlete wants to achieve and I feel very lucky to have this opportunity again just two years on from London," said Alistair Brownlee.

"Having the crowd behind you provides a huge boost and I can't wait to get to Strathclyde Park and give it my best."

Stimpson added: "The closer it gets to the Games, the more excited I'm getting. Having missed out on the Olympics, I'm doubly determined to be up there and fighting for a medal in Glasgow."
