Glamorgan need another 215 to win after Leicestershire struggled on day two of their Division Two clash at Grace Road.
The visitors began the day in trouble on 25-5, but 42 from Graham Wagg and 20 from Robert Croft lifted them to 124.
However, Leicestershire endured a miserable second innings as only two of their players reached double figures in slumping to 110 all out.
Glamorgan had opening batsman Gareth Rees bowled by Robbie Joseph for only four as they closed on 21-1.

BBC Wales cricket correspondent Edward Bevan:
"Another 16 wickets fell on the second day at Grace Road, where the seamers have prospered on a pitch of variable bounce.
"One of the players remarked "the ball swung and seamed and the pitch is a little two-paced", which makes Glamorgan's target a demanding one.
"The last three Glamorgan wickets put on 90 first innings runs and, if the top order had made the same contribution, then they would not have been chasing this total.
"All the wickets in this game bar one have been taken by the seamers and that sums up the unpredictable pitch."
