Devon crushed rivals Cornwall by 66 runs to get their first win of the season in the MCCA Trophy group stages.

Opener James Burke hit 84 as he and Josh Bess (51 not out) put on 126 for the fourth wicket as Devon made 193-4 in their 50 overs at Redruth.

In reply, Trevor Anning took 3-20 and Bess 2-10 as Cornwall were bowled out for 127 off 44.3 overs.

Chris Hunkin hit 53 not out but only two of his team-mates made double figures with the bat.

Qualification is still in Cornwall's hands as they face trips to Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire after beating Hertfordshire in their opening game.

Devon's hopes of qualification are all but over, as they need the weather to intervene in other games and hope they beat Bedfordshire in their final match on 2 June.
