ICC European Division One T20: Guernsey reach semi-finals

Guernsey have beaten Sweden by seven wickets to reach the semi-finals of the ICC Division One T20.

Sweden recovered from 58-6 to total 132-6 off their 20 overs, with Sunny Sharma (51 not out) and Dahid Sarwar (31 not out) putting on 74 together.

It was not enough as GH Smit (51 not out) and Jeremy Frith (47) led the way as Guernsey made 134-3 in 16.3 overs.

Guernsey finished in second place in Group A behind Italy and will face the holders Denmark in the semi-final.

The winner of the semi-final will be guaranteed a place at the World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi in November.
