Glamorgan batsman Will Bragg says his team could chase a target of up to 300 in their second innings to beat Kent.

Bragg scored 104 in the total of 281 as Glamorgan fought back to limit the deficit to 76 runs on first innings.

"Anything up around the 300 mark I'd be comfortable chasing, if we get some early wickets in the morning, I'd back us chasing 300," Bragg told BBC Wales.

Kent will start the third day at Canterbury on 1-0 in their second innings, 77 runs ahead.

Glamorgan could not find anyone to stay with Bragg to build a substantial partnership, with David Lloyd's aggressive 45 batting at number nine the next highest score.

"It could have been a lot worse, we could have been all out in the early 200's but we're back in the game" added Bragg.

It was the second hundred in the first four championship matches for the 28-year-old left-hander, who began the campaign with a career-best 120 at Leicester.

He hopes it'll mark a transition in being able to convert 50s into centuries more often.

"I'm not a massive believer in form," added Wagg.

"I've certainly hit the ball a lot better in the past, but it's all about getting runs on the board.

"I haven't scored too many centuries, I've had a lot of 70s, 80s and 90s, but it's nice to get over the line.

"The amount of 50s I've got, my conversion rate is pretty woeful but I had a slice of luck being dropped and hopefully there's many more hundreds to come."

The match looks almost certain to end Glamorgan's run of three championship draws to start the season, with the game halfway through and a good weather forecast for days three and four.

Meanwhile, fast bowler Andy Carter has been ruled out for four weeks with a side injury, ending any prospect of a return to Glamorgan in that time.

Carter took 12 wickets in Glamorgan's first three games of the season but was then recalled by his club Nottinghamshire and named in their squad to face Durham.

He did not make the final XI for the game but it is not clear when he picked up the injury.
