Kent 67-1: Dickson 31no; Payne 1-22 v Gloucestershire

Match abandoned as a draw - no play on final day

Kent 5 pts, Gloucestershire 5 pts

Kent's final Championship game of the summer against Gloucestershire was abandoned as a draw because of a waterlogged ground at Canterbury.

Umpires Paul Baldwin and David Millns called the match off after a brief 10:30 BST inspection.

Only 15 overs were possible in the match because of rain, with the home side reaching 67-1 on day one.

Kent remain third from bottom in Division Two, but could slip a place if Derbyshire win their final fixture.

The abandonment allowed Gloucestershire extra time for rest and practice ahead of Saturday's One-Day Cup final against Surrey at Lord's.
