Shoaib Malik returns to Pakistan Test squad after five-year absence

Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has been named in the squad to face England, more than five years since playing the last of his 32 Tests.

The 33-year-old returns following the intervention of manager Intikhab Alam after talks with coach Waqar Younis.

The three-Test series starts in Abu Dhabi on 13 October.

Meanwhile, off-spinner Bilal Asif has become the third Pakistan bowler in the past year to be reported for a suspect action, Alam told AFP.
