Batter Bruce leaves Lancashire for birth of child

Lancashire have cancelled the contract of batter Tom Bruce by mutual consent to allow him to return to New Zealand for the birth of his second child.
Bruce, 32, joined the Red Rose on a one-year overseas contract for the 2024 season in January.
The New Zealand T20 international made 16 appearances for the Old Trafford side across all formats.
He played in seven County Championship games for the Division Two team, scoring 271 runs at an average of 24.63.
