    Right, that's it from us.

The next time we see you, the time zone would have changed and the mood will turn to scares, tricks and treats.

But if you were thinking of spending Halloween night anywhere else, think again. We will have Coventry City treading over the border to try and put fear into Wrexham as they look for yet another victory (and plenty of goals, hopefully!).

Though before that, there's certainly a couple of Championship managers who will be experiencing sleepless nights - it is spooky season after all.

    See you then!

Norwich manager Liam Manning told BBC Radio Norfolk:

"We're back to where we've been, it just hurts with the type of goals we give away and it's something we've been saying all season.

"It's cost us all season and it's something I'm working extremely hard to change, but it's proving quite a challenge in terms of just the softness and the manner of the goals.

"I told the lads that if you don't respect and take enough care of doing the simple things well, then at this level you'll get punished - and that's what happened today.

"I thought we responded well to going a goal behind, and got back into the game.

"But forget formations, systems, structures, if you turn it over in such an easy manner and such an open way you're going to get punished and we keep doing it."

Swansea boss Alan SheehanImage source, Shutterstock

Swansea head coach Alan Sheehan told BBC Radio Wales:

"It was an important win. In terms of the first 20-30 minutes I thought we were real front-footed, really aggressive in what we wanted to do.

"We scored a great goal and had numerous opportunities to put the game to bed and we didn't.

"Then they had a moment where we didn't protect the middle of the pitch well enough, and then they get that goal at the end of it.

"Then at half-time they change formation, so we tried to counteract that and get pressure on the ball.

"But I don't really remember them having any opportunities in the second half or Vigs [Lawrence Vigouroux] having a huge amount to do.

"But ultimately you get out what you put in and... today we went and we got the win and I think we really deserved that."

Blackburn boss Valerien Ismael told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"It's a great feeling to win at home, I want to give credit to the players for the second-half performance. It was exactly what we wanted - passion, desire, and belief. We came from behind and got the reward, thanks to a great mentality from the players.

"I was not pleased with the first half and I told them that at half-time, because it was not what we wanted or how we had played the last two games. We should have scored earlier in the game.

"Everyone stepped up in the second half and we were back on the level of performance we wanted. It's great for Ryan and Andri to get their first goals, too.

"Today still showed us what we need to improve, we created a lot of chances but we weren't clinical.

"We want to believe in ourselves, stay calm and focus. But this result will help us to build some confidence."

Another loss, another dire performance and a manager with no clue. Time for Manning to go. Recruitment has been poor and following this week's local rag's headline we are happy to be in League One too.

    Tom, Norfolk

We are not 100% sure what article Tom is referring to but in this week's Eastern Daily Press there was a story, external surrounding how Norwich will still redevelop Carrow Road, even if they are relegated into League One.

A long-term supporter living away, I can look from a distance. First, the players confidence is shot. Second, we desperately need a 20+ goal scorer, Lambert springs to mind. Third, to me the club appears directionless, a hierarchy with no strategic approach visible. Confused manager, confused players, confused fans.

Will Still speaking to BBC Radio Solent after Southampton's 2-1 defeat at Blackburn:

"It's the same story, different day, we should be 3-0 up but we're not, then we make mistakes, defend poorly and conceded two very soft and poor goals.

"I can understand fans' frustration. We knew a lot of those players couldn't play three 90 minutes in a week. Shea Charles was one of them. We didn't have a choice. There was very limited options there today.

"We have hit the post, hit the keeper, put it wide, did everything but put it in the net.

"We're in a really poor position, we have a lot of things to put right.

"If you don't win you get under pressure. It's not ideal, I know what it looks like, if the fans want to vent their frustration or be annoyed at someone they can be annoyed at me.

"But I know the team should be killing games off and winning this sort of game and we haven't gone and done it."

Brandon Thomas-Asante celebrates Coventry's first goal against WatfordImage source, Shutterstock
    • With their 1-0 win against Birmingham City, Bristol City have won three consecutive league games for the first time since December 2023, and have kept clean sheets in back-to-back league games against Birmingham for the first time since between 1989-1993 (5 in a row).
    • Coventry’s 34 goals this season is the most by a team after 12 games in a second tier campaign since Wolves in 1965-66 (also 34).
    • With a goal against Watford, Brandon Thomas-Asante became the first Coventry to either score or assist a goal in six consecutive league games since Matty Godden between February and September 2020.
    • Leo Scienza scored his first league goal for Southampton in what was his seventh Championship appearance; he’s just the second Brazilian player to score a league goal for the Saints in the last 10 years, alongside Lyanco.
    • Femi Azeez has now scored in four consecutive Championship appearances for Millwall, netting as many in that span as across his previous 53 EFL games combined (4, 2 for Reading, 2 for Millwall) – he’s the first player to score in four straight league games for Millwall since Tom Bradshaw between November 2021 and January 2022 (5 games in a row).
    • Hull City’s Joe Gelhardt has now either scored (3) or assisted (1) each of the Tigers’ last four Championship goals – it’s as many goal involvements as Gelhardt had managed across his previous 18 league games.

    FT: Millwall 1-0 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Marti CifuentesImage source, Shutterstock

Leicester boss Marti Cifuentes told BBC Radio Leicester:

“The first 15-20 minutes were OK from our side but, slowly, Millwall started to get that dominance from long throws and set-plays and we couldn’t get that momentum into the game.

“It was disappointing to end the first half to concede that goal without us playing at a great level.

“When Aaron [Ramsey] gets the muscular injury, it changes all the plans that we had in the second half. Then the game became more of a transition, up and down. In the end the result is very disappointing.

“Everybody in this league wants to beat us, that is normal and in that sense we have to understand that no game is easy.”

On unhappy fans at the end of the match:

“The most disappointing thing for me to see is 3,000 travelling fans and we have not deliver them a good result, a good performance. That makes me more sad."

    Millwall

Millwall boss Alex Neil pointsImage source, Shutterstock

Millwall boss Alex Neil told BBC Radio London:

"I think we deserved to win the game. We carried the bigger threat. They are naturally going have their moments; they are a good side, they have good players.

"We built ourself into the game really nicely in the first-half, got the goal at the right time and the second-half was always going to be who got the second one.

"We had that opportunity with the penalty, it doesn't go in and it makes that next 20 to 25 minutes really tough because you need to dig in.

"We carried a threat throughout the whole game. To do that against that level of opposition and perform as we did, I think just shows where we are as a group at the moment."

"We rolled the dice at half-time, I’ve never made four subs before. Let’s give the lads credit for finding something in that second half. We took something from the game so let’s take the positivity from that.”

Birmingham City head coach Chris DaviesImage source, Shutterstock

Birmingham City manager Chris Davies told BBC Radio WM:

“It was always going to be like that with the way they play, on the counter-attack. I thought we’d have more of the ball but we had even more than I thought we would.

“We were like the home team and them the away team but we couldn't make all that possession count and create clear chances with it.

“We had a few moments where, if we’re there, we score, as it flashed across goal again but we don’t make the most of them and pay the price before half time with their only shot on goal - one ball up the pitch, one run and a one v one and a goal.

“It’s a really poor goal, loss of possession, but it can happen. We need to sense the danger a little bit quicker because it’s a really simple goal considering how hard we’ve had to work for any openings we’ve got.”

Bristol City manager Gerhard Struber told BBC Radio Bristol:

On three consecutive wins: “Result-wise it’s been really, really good but in possession on this level today was not what we want.

"We defended really, really well together and in the end it was very very difficult for Birmingham to use their typical possession game in a direction where they could realise many good chances.

"We were super-sharp in transition from Sinclair Armstrong, in exactly the way we want to go. I was happy with the boys but you could see with all the effort they have invested in the last few games, they are empty!

"I’m very pleased [for Armstrong]. He trained with high investment for the past few months without much game time, and he is growing, stepping in the right direction."

West Brom boss Ryan Mason told BBC WM goalkeeper Josh Griffiths needs to learn from his mistake in gifting Ipswich their goal from a poor pass out:

"It's something he needs to learn from. We all need to learn quickly. It's disappointing to concede in the nature we did. At the end of the day, we've given them a goal and we need to improve.

"It's disappointing and we all need to take responsibility and all of us have to learn from it.

"We lacked a bit of creativity in the final third. In the second half, we had a 10-minute spell, where it was our moment to attack them and try and cause them some problems, but that didn't really materialise and that's disappointing."
