Leicestershire Foxes have announced the signings of wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Tattersall and seamer Josh Davey on three-year deals.
Both men will join the Foxes on 1 November, becoming Leicestershire's first recruits ahead of the 2026 campaign.
Tattersall, 30, announced earlier this month that he would leave Yorkshire at the end of the 2025 County Championship season, having racked up 155 career appearances and scored 4,339 runs while representing the White Rose in all formats since his debut in 2013.
The Harrogate-born star captained his home county to promotion last year, averaging more than 40 with the bat as an ever-present.
Having also completed 240 dismissals behind the stumps, he will add depth to Leicestershire's wicketkeeping department next season following the retirement of Harry Swindells.
Soon after Tattersall's signing was announced on Tuesday, the Foxes revealed that 35-year-old Scotland international Davey would also be arriving after 11 years in Somerset.
Born in Aberdeen, Davey has represented his country on 62 occasions in limited-overs action, headlined by career-best figures of 6/28 against Afghanistan in 2015, and has featured at two ICC T20 World Cups
The experienced Scot - who will return to Uptonsteel County Ground after a brief loan spell with Leicestershire in 2023 - has amassed 458 wickets to date in his career, with 214 at an average of 24.25 in the first-class format, 128 wickets at 25.9 average in List A, and 116 wickets at 21.77 average in T20 cricket.
Davey has also scored over 3,500 runs in his career and this summer has stepped up as a red-ball opener in Division One for Somerset, with whom he won the One Day Cup in 2019 and the 2023 Vitality Blast.
Experienced duo to push for silverware with 'exciting' Foxes squad
"Leicestershire is a club that has some great history behind it and has built a team that seems to be going places," Tattersall said when his deal with the Foxes was announced., external
"I can see a real purpose and a focus within the group with what they're looking to achieve over the next few years, so it's incredibly exciting to be asked to play a part in that journey.
He continued: "Hopefully, I can bring experience of first division cricket and help guide a few younger lads in what that experience is like, as well as produce quality performances myself.
"I'll put in everything I've got to take my game to the next level and help Leicestershire win matches. Hopefully that will result in some more trophies."
Leicestershire's director of cricket, Claude Henderson, described Tattersall's "character, leadership skills and all-round cricket abilities" as "hugely impressive".
"He will bring vast experience to our changing room and further depth to our batting department, which will make him a significant asset to our squad," Henderson added.

Davey, meanwhile, said he hopes to help establish Leicestershire in the first division, and push for silverware.
"I believe we can become a real force in all three competitions over the next few years," the Scotland international continued.
"It's going to be a very exciting place to be over the next three years. I think it's starting to shape into a competitive team. There's a lot of talent in the squad and I hope to supplement that with the experience I've gained across all three formats over the last 15 years.
He added that having "loved the environment" during his previous loan spell with the Foxes and heard positive reports from recent fellow Somerset loanees including Ben Green and Josh Thomas "helped steer" his decision.
Of Davey's signing, Leicestershire chief Henderson said: "Josh is a high-calibre operator that will offer a lot to the team in both red-ball and white-ball cricket.
"We know his character well and have no doubt he will be a great fit for Leicestershire. As a senior player with extensive Division One experience, his voice and all-round abilities will be a great addition to our changing room."
After losing to Essex last Sunday, the Foxes face Derbyshire Falcons on Wednesday.
