Glamorgan have added Mark O'Leary to their coaching staff under new interim head coach Richard Dawson.

O'Leary, who takes up the role of assistant coach, has previously been in charge of the Cardiff MCCU students and the Western Storm regional women's side, as well as assisting with the Welsh Fire women's franchise.

He has previously worked with Glamorgan age-group players but will step up to run the second team among his duties.

Former Glamorgan and England bowler Steve Watkin will now focus on player and coach development.

The appointment of Panteg-born O'Leary is the latest change in a winter which saw the unexpected exit of head coach Grant Bradburn in December.

Former Gloucestershire boss Dawson was quickly named as his replacement, while David Harrison and Adrian Shaw remain on the county staff.

Toby Bailey, a former colleague of Bradburn with Scotland, was a part-time assistant in 2024.

The newly formed women's team is being coached by former New Zealand player Rachel Priest, while Aimee Rees, a long-standing stalwart of the female game in Wales, will head up the expanded women's and girls' operation.
