Glamorgan have reached the One Day Cup knock-outs with two group games to spare

Glamorgan and Warwickshire have qualified for the knockout stages of the One Day Cup with two matches each remaining.

Gloucestershire’s win over Notts means the two top sides in Group B, who both have 11 points from six games, are sure of finishing in the top three.

The Welsh county and the Bears can only be overtaken by Leicestershire, who host Glamorgan on Sunday, 11 August.

The winners of the two groups in the competition progress directly to home ties in the semi-finals on Sunday, 18 August.

That means there is still an incentive to win the last two group matches.

The runners-up in each group will host the third-placed side in the opposite section on Friday, 16 August.

Glamorgan’s most recent honour was winning the One Day Cup in 2021, while Warwickshire took the title in 2016.

The two counties took one point each from their group encounter at Edgbaston, which was abandoned because of rain.
