Leicestershire opening batter Sol Budinger will remain with the County Championship side on their return to Division One after signing a new two-year deal.
The 26-year-old helped the East Midlands club to promotion as Division Two title winners last season by contributing 728 runs at an average of just over 33.
He was ever present for Leicestershire in all competitions in 2025, and amassed the most runs for the club in formats combined - with 247 notched up in the One-Day Cup and a further 358 in the T20 Blast.
His efforts earned him the club's batter of the year award.
Budinger said it was "a no brainer" to sign on against until the end of the 2027 season after winning both the One-Day Cup and Division Two title since joining the Foxes in 2022 from Nottinghamshire.
"I know it's the best place for me as a cricketer," he told the club website., external
"The club is in a great position, and we feel we're in for a very exciting few years ahead. With the players we have now, you shouldn't put a cap on what we can achieve."
