    Gorgeous shot from Laura Wolvaardt.

She nails the first ball of Lauren Bell's over through the off side for four and follows it up with an even better drive later in the over for another boundary.

There can't be many better shots in the game than Wolvaardt's cover drive. It really is a thing of beauty.

Annerie Dercksen nearly gets in a bit of trouble, flirting with a full ball wide of off from Lauren Filer that shapes away just a fraction.

But she brushes that off and, while she must be waiting for the next bouncer, is ready to drive a very full delivery smartly through cover to end the over.

Four runs. Never in doubt with these short boundaries and Tammy Beaumont ends up rather flopping over the boundary after it following her unsuccessful chase.

Slightly fuller from Lauren Bell and a lovely shot from Annerie Dercksen, who has had to regain her concentration after being hit by Lauren Filer in the previous over.

  4. SA 37-1published at 12 overs

    Top shot from Annerie Dercksen.

She much prefers seeing the ball pitched up and, when Lauren Bell overpitches, Dercksen thumps a drive through the covers for four.

A distinct change of method from England and Lauren Filer this morning. With little lateral movement on offer and some suspect playing of the shorter ball, Filer has been much shorter today. Last night with the brand new ball she bowled just one bouncer, but has sent down five already this morning.

If I was Lauren Filer, I'd keep bowling that! That is so encouraging for her to see. You can see the slip cordon waiting to see if Annerie Dercksen was okay, before telling Lauren Filer 'well bowled'.

A ferocious over from Lauren Filer.

We've got a delay as Annerie Dercksen gets a concussion test after being pinned on the helmet by a quick bumper.

Dercksen had jerked her head out of the way at the last moment when another bouncer was flying towards her lid earlier in the over but can't get out of the way of this one.

The ball angles back in to the right-hander, clocks her on the helmet and flies over Amy Jones for four leg byes.

Dercksen is OK to continue but it's fair to say that she isn't enjoying the short stuff from Filer.

It's a much calmer day today. The flags are not quite buffeting as the same as yesterday which should make bowling a little bit easier.

Lauren Bell went away from what she does well yesterday. She has to be consistent, hit the lines and lengths. She needs to stick to her strengths and try to set a batter up.

It's fair to say that the England seamers didn't get it quite right last evening but Lauren Bell, in particular, is doing a good job of making amends this morning.

Three come from the over with Laura Wolvaardt clipping the last ball off her pads for two.

That sent one of the best batters in the world in Laura Wolvaardt on to her backside. A really good angled bouncer from Lauren Filer.

  12. SA 25-1published at 9 overs

Freebie from Lauren Filer to start the over. A full toss that Laura Wolvaardt punches back down the ground for four.

Filer is still struggling for consistency but ends the over very well. A yorker, just dug out by Wolvaardt, is followed by a superb bouncer that comes back at the South Africa captain and leaves her flat on her back after swaying to avoid it.

How on earth has that missed the stumps?! That's nipped off the surface and just missed Annerie Dercksen's off stump.

  14. SA 21-1published at 8 overs

    How has that missed?!

After a couple of out-swingers, Lauren Bell goes to the wobble-seam delivery to end the over and it jags back and misses off stump by a whisker as new batter Annerie Dercksen shoulders arms.

A very good start from Bell.

The perfect start for England and the perfect start for Lauren Bell. It's wide and could have been left by Anneke Bosch but she's had a little tickle. There's a weakness there for Bosch where she just chases the ball, and that's exactly what you want to see from Lauren Bell, who set her up.

She couldn't resist that one. A lovely ball by Lauren Bell!

    Edged and gone!

Just the start that England wanted as Lauren Bell gets Anneke Bosch to play at a ball wide of off stump.

There is a hint of movement away but, really, it is just a loose shot from Bosch as she pushed at a ball she could so easily have left.

Bell deserves credit for the set up because while that ball was still a decent way outside off, it was a touch straighter than the first two and that is likely what tempted Bosch into chasing it.

I don't think it will be as free-flowing cricket with the bat as we saw yesterday. I'd like to see England get on top of these two South Africa batters early on.

  19. SA 21-0published at 7 overs

    Wolvaardt 12, Bosch 6

A mixed over from Lauren Filer, both in terms of quality and length.

After the yorker to start, there is a bouncer in there and a couple of length balls that slide down leg.

One such delivery is glanced away fine by Laura Wolvaardt and it races to the boundary for the first runs of the morning.

  20. SA 17-0published at 6.1 overs

Good ball to start from Lauren Filer.

A well-executed yorker that South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt does well to keep out.
