    Perera 74, de Silva 29

This match is just beginning to get away from Bangladesh, who need to break this partnership soon.

Hasini Perera and Nilakshi de Silva have put on 59 (65) for the fifth wicket after Sri Lanka had lost 3-28.

They'll surely be eyeing a total well above 250 with 20 overs remaining.

Another life for Hasini Perera! A routine catch in the covers has been put down.

  4. SL 132-4published at 25 overs

    Perera 59, de Silva 17

Hasini Perera has had her fair share of luck during this knock.

She was dropped on 23 in the 12th over and has just received another life on 55 in the 24th, the ball whistling through the hands of Nahida Akter at mid-wicket.

At the other end, Nilakshi de Silva has made a brisk start, pinging a couple of sixes for her 17 (12)

Halfway through the first innings and this match is very much in the balance, with Sri Lanka 132-4.

  6. SL 101-4published at 20 overs

    Perera 44, de Silva 1

Well, it's all gone a little bit wrong for Sri Lanka since the dismissal of Chamari Athapaththu in the 13th over.

Her exit broke a 72-run second-wicket stand and has been followed by Harshitha Samarawickrama throwing away her wicket with a needless run out and Kavisha Dilhari out via an unlucky stumping.

Bangladesh will want to put the hammer down with the batting side wobbling.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.1 overs

Dilhari st Joty b Nahida 4 (SL 100-4)

That might be the unluckiest dismissal of the tournament.

Kavisha Dilhari deflected the ball onto the legs of wicketkeeper Nigar Sultana Joty and it ricocheted onto the stumps. Replays show the batter's back foot was momentarily off the ground and she has to depart for 4 (6).

    Sri Lanka have lost 3-28.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.4 overs

    Samarawickrama run out (Shorna/Joty) 4 (SL 87-3)

Oh dear. Harshitha Samarawickrama won't want to watch that back.

She swept Rabeya Khan and easily ran the single. However, her attempt at a reckless second run resulted in her being run out by a distance.

    Sri Lanka are wobbling.

    Perera 33, Samarawickrama 3

Bangladesh have done well to halt Sri Lanka's momentum since the end of the powerplay.

They've taken the big wicket of Chamari Athapaththu (trapped lbw for 46) and Rabeya Khan (1-5 from two overs) is drying up the flow of runs from one end.

The pressure is on Hasini Perera 33 (41) to make the most of her start and score her first international half-century.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12.4 overs

    Athapaththu lbw b Rabeya 46 (SL 72-2)

At the third time of asking, Bangladesh break the partnership!

One ball after dropping a caught and bowled opportunity, Rabeya Khan traps Chamari Athapaththu lbw.

The Sri Lanka skipper sends it upstairs but three reds confirm her fate.

The second Sri Lanka wicket falls.

  11. dropped catch

Dropped catch - Athapaththu on 46published at 12.3 overs

    SL 72-1

Oh, Bangladesh have had two opportunities to break this second-wicket partnership and haven't taken either of them.

The first - a nick off Hasini Perera's glove in the 12th over - was a tough chance for wicketkeeper Nigar Sultana Joty.

The second saw Chamari Athapaththu hammer the ball back at Rabeya Khan and the bowler couldn't hold on. It was powerfully struck by the Sri Lanka captain, who receives a reprieve on 46.

Sri Lanka will be the happier of the two sides at the end of the powerplay.

Chamari Athapaththu is purring on 43 (35) and already has a couple of sixes to her name.

Nishita Akter Nishi has been the pick of Bangladesh's bowlers, returning 0-16 from her four overs. Marufa Akter (1-28 from four) struck with her first ball but both she and Nahida Akter (0-19 from two) have been expensive.

  13. SL 27-1published at 5 overs

    Athapaththu 16, Perera 9

After losing Vishmi Gunaratne first ball, Sri Lanka's second-wicket pair are just beginning to settle into this match.

Runs proved hard to come by in the opening four overs but captain Chamari Athapaththu cut loose in the fifth, smashing Marufa Akter for six over point and following it up with a four.

11 runs off the over and Sri Lanka are 27-1 halfway through the powerplay.

    Marufa Akter strikes first ball!

The umpire didn't give the lbw on the field but Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty immediately sent it upstairs.

Three reds, with the ball clipping the top of Vishmi Gunaratne's off stump.

    Sri Lanka are 0-1.
