  2. Eng 63-1published at 8 overs

New Zealand turn to leggy Amelia Kerr to try and snare a wicket.

England are watchful, pushing for five singles.

The equation is 79 from 72 deliveries. Very gettable for a batting line-up like England's.

    Target 142

That Maia Bouchier wicket already feels a long time ago for New Zealand, with Sophia Dunkley smashing new bowler Molly Penfold through the covers for another four.

Dunkley has hit four fours and a six in her innings so far.

England are looking good so far. New Zealand had a brilliant start with the Bouchier wicket but the partnership has been very good. They are youngsters but they've got a lot of experience.

  5. Eng 50-1published at 6 overs

Sophia Dunkley is on the move.

It's not the most orthodox but it is brutally effective, carving Sophie Devine away for three boundaries.

Nestled in-between is a two from a mistimed pull that flies onto the air but lands safe between two converging new Zealand fielders.

  6. Postpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 11 July

England took a wicket with the fifth ball of the innings but New Zealand went even better, Hannah Rowe removing Maia Bouchier with the first ball of England's reply.

Sophia Dunkley is timing things quite nicely at the moment.

  8. Eng 34-1published at 5 overs

Another good shot by Alice Capsey, who is seeing it like a beachball at the moment.

It is full from Fran Jonas and Capsey connects with a powerful sweep shot through the leg side and to the rope.

  9. Eng 26-1published at 4 overs

Skipper Sophie Devine brings herself into the attack to try and pin England down in this powerplay.

Alice Capsey is looking in the mood though, She is on the move before Devine releases the ball and is able to work the ball into the leg-side for four.

Wicketkeeper Izzy Gaze responds by donning the helmet and standing up to the stumps.

  10. Eng 18-1published at 3 overs

    Target 142

Alice Capsey connects with a fizzing straight drive that looks four all the way, but for Hannah Rowe's foot.

It saved a boundary but could have been painful. Rowe looks to be fine though, she is clearly made of tough stuff.

Dunkley hits a 'big' six, England's first of the match.

    That is enormous.

Slightly overpitched from Hannah Rowe and Sophia Dunkley shows no mercy, skipping down the track and with a huge swing of the bat dispatching the ball over the bowler's head and into the stands.

  13. Eng 9-1published at 2 overs

    Target 142

A direct hit and Alice Capsey could have been in trouble.

Sophia Dunkley cuts to point and immediately sets off for the single. Georgia Plimmer fields but her throw is slightly wayward.

This has been a bit of a nervy start from England.

  15. Eng 7-1published at 1 over

That is well bowled from Hannah Rowe. It is exactly the start that New Zealand wanted. Maia Bouchier has been fantastic for England in this series and in the past few months.

Out. The ball was going on to hit the top of middle and leg and Bouchier is gone first ball!

What a start for New Zealand.

  18. England reviewpublished at 0.1 overs

Wow, Hannah Rowe traps Maia Bouchier deep in her crease and bang in front first ball!

The umpire shows no hesitation on putting up the finger, but Bouchier goes for a review.

England spinner Sophie Ecclestone: "I wasn't aware [that she has taken at least one wicket in the last 33 games]. I'm not very stats driven but that is quite cool".

On dismissing Amelia Kerr: "It is always great to get the big players out and Amelia is a great player. So to bowl her through the gate was obvously great."

On the slope at Canterbury: "I put a bit of thought into it as we haven't trained here. So I felt I was pushing it a bit too far up the hill and then needed to hit the stumps to be honest, keep it simple."
