He's connected solidly and that will make Litton Das feel a lot better.

  4. Ban 23-1published at 4.3 overs

    Target 114

Great battle between Das and Jansen, who is having a third over. Jansen is happy to bowl back of a length and Das pulls for four.

I think Bangladesh have done nicely here. Can they keep rotating strike?

  6. Ban 19-1published at 4 overs

    Target 114

Have you got Do The Bartman in your head, too? Great tune. The follow-up, Deep, Deep Trouble, wasn't nearly as good.

That's a great shot. Not letting the bowler settle.

Biffage! Shanto whacks new bowler Ottneil Baartman back over his head for six.

This has been a lovely over from Marco Jansen.

  10. Ban 13-1published at 3 overs

Now we're talking! Strange things at cricket grounds. In Rajkot someone had their washing up on a line at the back of the stand.

This ground is, of course, set in Eisenhower Park almost all of which has been closed off to the public while the World Cup is on.

Nestled away behind one of the temporary stands is a crazy golf course. Possibly one of the few - if not the only - major international cricket ground with such a feature.

Get in touch if you know otherwise.

  12. Ban 13-1published at 2.4 overs

    Target 114

Jansen is getting plenty of bounce, targeting the hip of Das, but losing his line. That's a wide down the leg side.

South African fielding is very attacking, they are in tight and making sure you have to work for your runs.

  14. Ban 12-1published at 2.2 overs

    Target 114

Liton Das has joined Shanto, who swivels on a pull for a couple against Jansen. Das is a right-hander, is we've got right-left at the crease.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2 overs

    Tanzid c De Kock b Rabada 9 (Ban 9-1)

    Suckered in!

Twice Tanzid Hasan found the off-side boundary, but another wide one from Kagiso Rabada brings the wicket. Big edge through to Quinton de Kock. Tanzid doesn't think he's hit it, but Shanto talks him out of a review.

That's a great shot, middle of the bat. Kagiso Rabada will be disappointed.

He's bowling at a good pace, I'm sure he'll adjust he's a very good bowler.

  17. Ban 9-0published at 1.2 overs

    Target 114

Too wide. Slashed for four more.

  18. Ban 5-0published at 1.1 overs

    Target 114

That's nice. Tanzid eases Kagiso Rabada's first delivery through a gap in the covers for four.

This hasn't been the batters paradise we've seen previously in the T20.

  20. Ban 1-0published at 1 over

    Target 114

Jansen is shaping the ball away from both of the left-handers. One off the first over. Instant indication of how difficult this will be.
