  1. SA 1-0published at 0.4 overs

    Target 177

It's swinging, as you'd expect from Arshdeep. He's actually swinging it against the breeze, which is coming right across the ground.

If De Kock gets off to a flyer, it makes the middle overs more manageable for South Africa.

  3. SA 0-0published at 0.1 overs

    Target 177

Right then. Runchase. Hendricks and De Kock in the middle, Arshdeep with the ball.

I don't like the live text, I get thumbs down all the time. Give me a thumbs up.

    Thanks, Ffion.

Given the fact the football is live on BBC One, you'd think there would be an easy way of watching it in a BBC office, wouldn't you?

Stephan Shemilt spent a fair bit of his time during that innings dismantling and re-assembling various TV screens so that he can watch both the cricket and the football simultaneously.

I'm not sure what his multi-tasking skills are like, but here he is to take you through South Africa's chase.

South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj: "I was just trying to use the surface and the breeze to my advantage. Luckily it paid off.

"Hopefully it's a low enough score for us to chase. The catching and outfielding was superb.

"The boys are ready to go. Opportunities like this don't come easily, so hopefully we can grab it with both hands."

We should've seen it coming, shouldn't we?

Runs for Virat Kohli when it mattered most. He top-scored with 76 from 59 balls, with support from Axar Patel's 47 from 31.

This will require South Africa pulling off the highest T20 international chase on this ground.

I think it will be enough, especially when you look at India's bowling attack. There will be a bit in it for India's spinners.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 20 overs

    Jadeja c Maharaj b Nortje 2 (Ind 176-7)

A tumbling catch from Keshav Maharaj at mid-off sees Ravindra Jadeja depart from the final ball but that's a good total from India.

After 20 dramatic overs, South Africa need 177 to win the T20 World Cup.

I always say, 33% of full tosses get wickets.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.4 overs

    Dube c Miller b Nortje 27 (Ind 174-6)

    Good catch.

Shivam Dube nails one down the ground, very flat, but straight into the hands of David Miller. He barely has to move, but it was struck very firmly.

The low full toss works for Nortje.

  15. Ind 174-5published at 19.3 overs

Slammed down the ground for four by Shivam Dube.

This is now the highest total in a T20 World Cup final. It eclipses 173-2, made by Australia against New Zealand in 2021.

  16. Ind 169-5published at 19.1 overs

Anrich Nortje to bowl the last, and he starts with a wide.

Should Jansen has bowled his fourth when Maharaj - with 2-23 - had one left?

I guess you can't keep him quiet for long.

Virat Kohli saved his best until the end.

  18. Ind 167-5published at 19 overs

    Oh, unlucky.

Hardik Pandya swings at his first ball, which flies over the keeper for four.

Marco Jansen finishes with 1-49. Yikes.

It's a slower ball and shorter from Jansen. It's a huge wicket. Kohli was just starting to motor.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18.5 overs

    Kohli c Rabada b Jansen 76 (Ind 163-5)

Revenge. But is it too late?

Jansen takes the pace off, Kohli goes for another six but is caught at long-on.

He departs for 76 from 59 balls and is greeted by plenty of hugs and pats on the back from his team-mates.

    A match-winner?
