Captain Healy makes half-century with Australia in charge

Fariha Trisna returns and Alyssa Healy knocks her opening delivery to bring up her half-century from 43 balls.

The Australian skipper is in fine form.

Bangladesh have gone about this with a T20 bowling approach. Every bowler has pretty much had a go and nothing has worked for them.

Australia have gone about their business and look to be getting the job done early.

  4. Aus 101-0published at 14 overs

    Target 199

Ritu Moni has bowled fairly well in the circumstances, conceding 16 runs from three overs.

Two of them come from this over, with the first, a Phoebe Litchfield push to mid-wicket, bringing up Australia's hundred from 78 deliveries.

That takes Australia half-way to their target too.

  5. Aus 99-0published at 13 overs

Alyssa Healy adds a boundary of her own, finding a large gap wide of mid-on.

She moves to 48 from 41 deliveries, Phoebe Litchfield is on 46 from 37.

  6. 6 runs

    First six of the game!

Fahima Khatun comes into the attack and Phoebe Litchfield slams the leg-spinner's third ball over the mid-off ropes.

There is no scoreboard pressure for Australia so they can slow things down for a few overs. The bat feels heavier the longer you are out there, especially in this heat.

  8. Aus 86-0published at 12 overs

    Target 199

Better for Bangladesh - Ritu Moni's over goes for just one single, with Phoebe Litchfield sending the ball to backward square.

Still, Australia's required run-rate from here is just 2.97 runs an over.

I'm not sure they'll need the full 50 overs...

  9. Aus 85-0published at 11 overs

Back go the fielders, but that doesn't stop Phoebe Litchfield - she comes down the track to Rabeya Khan's first ball and sends an edge through an empty cordon.

That's four too - but the rest of the over is relatively quiet, with just three further runs added.

Bangladesh have rotated their bowlers but the Australia batters have just picked up on lines and lengths so well.

  11. Aus 78-0published at 10 overs

    Target 199

Powerplay done, with with right-arm seamer Ritu Moni coming on to bowl its last over.

Alyssa Healy is perhaps a little fortunate here - she slaps a shot towards Fahima Khatun at mid-wicket and it might have been a catching chance had the Bangladesh fielder not mis-timed her jump.

That shot goes for four, then the Australia captain chops the following delivery past her wicket and the ball once again reaches the ropes.

It is going to be a long afternoon for Bangladesh if they start to look sluggish - they need to keep their body language up.

The Bangladesh bowlers pride themselves on being consistent and hitting the same spot over and over again. But that is only going to do Australia favours.

  13. Aus 65-0published at 9 overs

Back comes Rabeya Khan, bowling in a cap.

The leggie's first five balls go for just two singles, but Alyssa Healy slams the over's last delivery for four past mid-on.

Both Australia's openers have six boundaries each.

We knew this would be a batting masterclass from Australia. They have their foot firmly on the gas and are making this look easy.

'Innovation at its best!' - Litchfield hits 'fantastic' scoop shot for four

Phoebe Litchfield is really tuck into Nishita Akter now.

Three fours from this over too, with the opener bringing up Australia's fifty from 44 balls with a paddle shot over the wicketkeeper, then seeing a shot break through a cover fielder.

She follows that up with a lofted shot wide of long-off.

A change of bowler as Rabeya Khan replaces Fariha Trisna following the latter's expensive over.

The Australian openers take the leg-spinner for a boundary apiece, with Alyssa Healy driving through the covers and Phoebe Litchfield cutting past point.

  17. Aus 37-0published at 6 overs

A tighter over from Nishita Akter - she concedes just two singles off her third over.

You cannot afford to drop short when bowling at pace. You feel that with the pace Fariha Trisna is getting, it will be hard to defend.

Easy pickings for someone in the form of Alyssa Healy.

  19. Aus 35-0published at 5 overs

    Away we go!

Alyssa Healy's picking up where she left off against India, smacking Fariha Trisna for three consecutive fours.

She pulls past mid-on and then twice reaches the boundary at mid-wicket either side of a delivery that slid down the leg side for five wides.

    18 runs off the over.

  20. Aus 17-0published at 4 overs

A tidy shot from Alyssa Healy, paddle sweeping Nishita Akter to send the spinner to the boundary.

After a quiet first two overs, Australia are beginning to tick along.
